As a JourneyBlazers Salesforce Business Analyst/Configuration Specialist, you will be responsible for translating client desires into functional requirements to be implemented by architects and developers. You will work closely with not only client stakeholders, but also JourneyBlazers architects to identify product roadmaps and relevant scope for projects. Our business analysts are not afraid of getting their hands dirty by participating in Salesforce solution configuration using declarative tools on the Salesforce platform, such as workflows, process builder, approval processes, validation rules, and communities. JourneyBlazers business analysts are committed to balancing traditional project management with a hunger for delivering quality solutions using non-traditional delivery approaches. The ability to work closely with customers, developers and architects will be key to your success.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Embrace and promote a culture of continuous learning and development by leading internal development training sessions, mentoring and advising fellow developers and configuration specialists, and supporting the development of a common component library
  • Administrate client Salesforce environments and support customers with basic tasks such as user management, object security and sharing, and permissions management
  • Develop training materials and programs for driving user adoption of newly developed or improved Salesforce solutions
  • Collaborate closely alongside both architects and developers to enable client requirements in innovative and forward-thinking approaches, leveraging human centered design
  • Maintain Salesforce credentials and stay current on the latest force.com technologies to communicate trends and future needs to clients as well as leadership
  • Build meaningful relationships with clients to enable the delivery of innovative and high-quality Salesforce solutions

Required Skills:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or armed forces experience
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain and government security clearance
  • 2+ years of experience as a Salesforce administrator or business analyst/scrum master
  • Proficiency with declarative Salesforce development, including but not limited to objects, workflows, process builders, lightning app builder, approval processes, visual flows, email alerts, communities
  • Functional knowledge of Salesforce.com data structure and understanding of how to leverage the tool to meet complex process and reporting requirements
  • Unique combination of being business-minded and highly analytical while also having a strong desire to understand the technical aspects of the Salesforce platform
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks and deliver results with aggressive timelines
  • Able and willing to work independently and in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, with minimal supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, as well as excellent communication skills, verbal and written to both technical and non-technical audiences that are in a geographically dispersed environment (conference calls, Skype, face-to-face)
  • Ability to produce high quality technical documentation and analysis
  • Take initiative to recommend process improvements and demonstrate creative thinking
  • Demonstrate self-motivation and the ability to grasp concepts quickly
  • Demonstrate sharp, analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills
  • Knowledge and experience with Agile methodologies

Preferred Skills:

 

  • Certified Scrum Master
  • Experience with software development, including basic code development or other technical experience

Qualifications:

 

  • Salesforce Certified Administrator 
  • Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder
